Gravitation Spoilers
Warning: The following contains spoilers. If you haven't read the manga or seen the anime, please do not read on. Read here after you've watched the series or read the manga. Everything will make much more sense then.
- Tohma does have special feelings for Yuki. He comforted Yuki after the incident in New York some years back and he feel somehow responsible for what happened to Yuki. The depth of his feelings is seen when he endangered Tachi of ASK by pushing him in front of a speeding car. All this he did because Tachi upset Yuki. Tohma then revealed that 'Yuki is the most important person in the world to me.' With that statement, one can guess the depth of his feelings for Yuki. Though, if Yuki is the most important person to him, does that mean his wife, Mika, Yuki's sister, isn't?
- During the jealous rage of Tachi, he hired some thugs to deal with Shuuichi. Although it was not depicted, it was shown that Shuuichi was abused by these men, more so in the manga, where an abuse of a sexual nature was implied. Also, after the incident, Yuki stresses that Shuuichi was 'like him' now, implying that both were abused. Also, with Yuki's statement, we see a clear picture of what really happened that night in New York.
- Because Yuki looked more American than Japanese, he went to New York with Tohma to study during his teens. There he met his mentor, also named Yuki (let's call him Yuki-sensei), who was a writer. Yuki adored him as his mentor and looked up to him. But it seems that Yuki-sensei was a bit of an alcoholic, since one night he came home drunk, along with some men who paid him $10 so that he'd let them abuse Yuki. In self-defense he shot the man and that was how Tohma found him, beside a pool of blood, holding a gun and shaking uncontrollably. Maybe it is for this traumatic experience that made Yuki adapt Yuki-sensei's name as his pen name in writing his novels and why the ice-cold personality remained unbreakable, till now... ^^
